FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH NEWCASTLE
Passion for Christ, Compassion for All
It sounds like a nice little play on words, like someone was sitting around one day and came up with a great saying for a church to put on its stationery. Honestly, it is. But it’s more than that.
It’s a way of life born from the idea that what Jesus taught was not just a lot of pretty words and poetic ideas, they were, and still are a Way of Life, a Way of Being, a Way to understand God and his Creation. We not only believe it, but we try to live it in our homes, our church, and our community. For us, this is a journey that we have chosen to take, following in the spiritual way of Jesus's life and teachings.
And we invite you to join us.

GET TO KNOW US
Your United Methodist Church in Newcastle
Located in beautiful Newcastle at the foot of the Black Hills, First United Methodist Church offers real people a place of comfort, hope, and a peace of mind in Christian community. We are dedicated to living the Good News of Jesus Christ through our words and our actions. Our goal is to inspire Christian growth through honesty, faithful relationships and spirit-filled worship.
We are first and foremost a community of people seeking to 'love God' and 'love neighbor' in the Newcastle / Weston County area. We strive to make the life and teachings of Jesus the focal point for all of our acts of worship, love and service. We are diverse in our stories and our expressions of service, though we are decidedly Methodist and Wesleyan.
We warmly invite you to become a part of our caring community, and look forward to meeting you!
