MEET OUR PASTOR!
Hello, fellow travelers on this journey with Christ. My husband Mike and I, along with Georgia our standard poodle, began our ministry here in Newcastle on July 1, 2018. We are excited about this adventure as God has called us to be among you! We are very used to adapting to new places--we have moved several times for Mike’s work and for my studies over thirty-five years of marriage. Mike is a great supporter of my call to ministry work. He also loves to participate in worship and volunteers in ministry programming.
Mike and I have three grown children and four grandchildren. Two grandchildren live in Redlands, CA with our son and his wife, and the other two in Waterloo, Ontario with our eldest daughter and her husband. Our youngest daughter, Michaela, graduated in June 2018 with a Master of Social Work program from the University of Toronto.
My calling is one of practical ministry in the local church. I enjoy working in ministry with people of all ages and abilities from planning worship to community outreach to Sunday School and programming that engage families and youth. FUMC Newcastle has a high level of dedication to serving the local community. We believe that healing and building up the community are what Jesus asked us to do when he commanded we love our neighbor.
